Race report for Round 5.

After a week of gloomy, wet weather, the sun finally graced us with its presence. With clear skies and no wind, it was a perfect day for racing. We had an impressive turnout of 100 riders, all eager to tackle the course and enjoy the camaraderie that Winter Worlds is known for.

The atmosphere was electric, with everyone commenting on the fun, culture, and excitement of safe, competitive racing. A huge shout-out to our incredible volunteers who make this event possible. From holding signs and taking numbers at the finish line to leading and following vehicles, and Jocelyn at registration, your dedication is deeply appreciated. Without you, there would be no Winter Worlds.

In A Grade, the leading riders put on a stunning display of teamwork and strength, crossing the finish line ahead of the chasing bunch. B Grade saw a dominant performance from the winner, who solidified his lead in the series. C Grade delivered an exhilarating bunch sprint, with the winner emerging victorious by the narrowest of margins.

D Grade riders have been pushing the limits, clocking times comparable to C Grade. Their dedication to training is clearly paying off. E Grade featured another impressive win from the series leader, who continues to dominate the competition. The No Drop category saw a standout performance from the overall leader, creating a substantial lead in the series.

The Development category was filled with enthusiasm and energy. It’s a joy to see the young riders race with such excitement. A big thank you to the parents who bring them out every week – your commitment is invaluable.
