Key Features:
Today’s Winter Worlds saw a fantastic turnout despite the cooler weather. The temperature hovered around 8-9°C, and while it was a bit wet, the spirit of competition shone through.
A Grade
Micheal Audeau clinched the victory, an impressive feat considering he ran on just one hour of sleep after celebrating his 21st birthday last night. Micheal’s dedication and stamina truly embody the resilient spirit of our Winter Worlds community.
B Grade
Matt Jackson dominated the B Grade, crossing the finish line several bike lengths ahead of his competitors. Josh Davies and Michael Sanders followed closely, securing second and third places respectively.
C Grade
The C Grade race ended in a fierce bunch sprint, with Jeff Taylor emerging victorious. The competition was tight, but Jeff’s final push gave him the edge needed to take the win.
D Grade
D Grade riders were on fire today, nearly matching the pace of C Grade. Ben Davies led the charge, taking first place, followed by Mike Inwood and Steve Francis.
E Grade
E Grade continues to impress with its fast-paced action. Kirby Fenton landed on the podium again and now leads the series alongside Grahame Free, both holding 14 points. However, George Kavanagh, recently upgraded from Development, is hot on their heels after a solid third-place finish today.
No Drop
No Drop grade saw encouraging participation numbers once again. Reese Taylor claimed first place, but Dave Nielsen, with 24 points, continues to lead the series.
Development
The Development race, overseen by Joss who is recovering from a knee operation, was won by Kieran Clarke. It’s inspiring to see the future stars of our sport stepping up and performing brilliantly.
Thank you to all riders, volunteers, and supporters for making today’s event a success. The Winter Worlds continues to showcase the strength, camaraderie, and competitive spirit of our cycling community.
See you all next Sunday for Round 5!
